Reopening with COVID-19 through Work ACCESS

Date/Location:

November 11, 2020, Webinar

Description:

Learn about Work ACCESS, a new resource that the Center for Inclusive Design & Innovation (CIDI) is developing to help people make informed choices about selecting workplace accommodations. As we adjust to a world with COVID-19, people are returning to a workplace with new safety practices, such as physical distancing, mask wearing, and increase attention to cleaning and personal hygiene. Unfortunately, some of these practices pose barriers to people with various disabilities. This presentation will cover findings from brainstorming sessions that we conducted on the challenges of reopening. It will outline potential accommodation problems resulting from reopening safety practices, and lists ideas for accommodation solutions. This work is part Work ACCESS project’s efforts to develop an online tool for conducting workplace accommodation assessments.
