This continuing education course is designed for occupational and physical therapists working in the school setting, providing essential skills to support student success. Participants will engage in three
interactive sessions:
Why Understanding ADHD and Executive Functioning Really Matters: Gain a foundational understanding of ADHD and dyslexia in the school setting, including how these diagnoses impact learning, attention, and behavior. This session will highlight practical tools and strategies that occupational and physical therapists can use to support both students
and teachers, promoting better engagement and classroom success.
Tech Tools for Therapists: Navigating Google Workspace and Etrieve for Efficient Documentation: Led by our IT expert, this session will guide school-based OT and PT providers through efficient use of technology for
documentation. Learn how to optimize your workflow using Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Forms) and effectively manage forms and submissions within Etrieve. Ideal for improving day-to-day digital tasks and reducing tech-related frustration.
Demystifying Medical Necessity: How to Complete Equipment Documentation for Insurance ApprovalRepresentatives from Nu motion will walk attendees through the critical process of documenting medical necessity for equipment requests. Learn how to accurately and effectively complete forms required for insurance authorization, ensuring that students receive the mobility or adaptive equipment they need without unnecessary delays.

Learning Outcomes:
Participants will identify key characteristics of ADHD and dyslexia and
describe at least two school-based OT/PT strategies that can support students and teachers in the classroom.
Participants will demonstrate increased proficiency in navigating Google
Workspace and eTrieve platforms to streamline documentation and communication tasks within the school setting.
Participants will explain the process for completing medical necessity
documentation for equipment requests and identify key information required for successful insurance approval.
