Adoption vs. Abandonment: Evidence and Soft Skills to Shift the Balance
Date/Location:
November 7, 2024
Description:
The idea of influencing change in a person’s behavior has become as much a part of consideration as the idea that we need to match technology to a specific task and person. There are implementation plans, training plans, ideas of capacity building, models of change, lessons to be taken from the QIAT indicators, research on adoption of technology in general. How does this mesh with the real experience of working with a team? I have found theoretical things which I try to blend into something which will help form a connection. Trust is an important part of any team framework, if the members of a team trust you you don’t even necessarily have to be the most competent person in the room as long as you have rapport. Conversely, you can be the MOST competent person ever and if trust is not there outcomes will fall short of what is desired.
