Description:

This session will review the laws pertaining to transition, evidence of what difficulties students have following graduation, areas of skills which can help student’s increase success, and the re-development of the QIAT-PS tool to build capacity and increase student self-determination and assistive technology skills for a greater chance of future success.

Participants will be able to identify the levels and types of post-secondary services available at the college level.

Participants will be able to understand the differences between IDEA and ADA and how that shapes high school service delivery.

Participants will learn three tools to utilize to promote successful collegiate transition.

Participants will be able to discuss the updates to the QIAT-PS and name one way it can help drive conversations and set goals with your students.
