Telepractice and TeleMinspeak

Description:

Since the COVID pandemic, several providers of AAC have been forced to go the telepractice route.  It is important to bridge distance between providers and their clients as well as other professionals or parents who support the client.  Principles incorporating Telepractice (or TeleMinspeak) will be used to provide information to bridge this gap.  In addition, tips and tricks will be provided to conduct a smooth evaluation as well as intervention while juggling several pieces of equipment and therapy materials.

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will be able to learn to conduct an AAC assessment for a Minspeak system using remote access.

Participants will be able to learn to conduct AAC intervention for a Minspeak system using remote access.

Participants will be able to learn how to apply principles of Telepractice to teaching of Minspeak paradigms.
