Remote Supports for Independent Living

Full day training taught by ESC AT specialists will educate participants about assistive technology tools and supports for people with disabilities to allow them to live independently.

Learning Outcomes:

Attendees will gain an understanding of the remote support model, the various services options available, and the risks and benefits association with Remote Supports

Attendees will learn common barriers to wider remote support adoption by learning how the service has evolved over time in the United States. 

Attendees will discover resources to help them determine what forms of remote support are best for their needs.  

Attendees will learn steps to successfully implement remote supports and avoid common mistakes that can put people at risk. 

Attendees will learn about Disabilities Services to support greater utilization of technology options in Medicaid waiver services and encourage use of service options that facilitate greater opportunity for independent living.
