Introduction to Work ACCESS

Date/Location:

October 30, 2020, Webinar

Description:

Learn about Work ACCESS, a new resource that the Center for Inclusive Design & Innovation (CIDI) is developing to help people make informed choices about selecting workplace accommodations. The majority of workplace accommodations are determined not by trained service providers, but by employers and/or the employees themselves. Unfortunately, these groups lack information about the full range of accommodation options that are available, and lack information about what options work best in which situations. Work ACCESS is addressing this need by creating an easy-to-use workplace-accommodation assessment system that helps employers and employees make intelligent choices about the most appropriate accommodations. Join us to learn more about the beta version of Work ACCESS and how you can contribute to its development.

Speakers:

Karen Milchus, M.S.

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will be able to identify at least three (3) that make Work ACCESS unique compared to other accommodation tools.

Participants will be able to identify at least three (3) accommodation scenarios in which individuals would potentially benefit from using Work ACCESS.

Participants will be able to describe two (2) steps for how Work ACCESS is populating its decision trees.
