Home is Where the Supports Are! Supports in the Home for Those with Autism

Description:

Many people with autism are now adults. These adults can be living more independently and successfully with the right supports. In addition, families continue to struggle with their children with autism at home.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. The participant will be able to identify a minimum of 3 visuals to place in the home to support a person with autism be more independent
  2. The participant will be able to identify a minimum of 3 different modifications to the home that can be completed to support a person with autism to make the home more accessible in every way
  3. The participant will be able to identify a minimum of 3 ways to meet the sensory needs of a person with autism in the home environment
  4. Participants will be able to identify a minimum of 3 forms of technology to add to a home to make it more accessible. 

CEUs

This activity is offered for up to 0.2 CEUs (1.5 hours of instruction). To register for CEUs:
