Description:

This presentation will attempt to demystify the complex world of home automation and how to best help PALS maintain independence and access to their home. A survey of currently available products and how to incorporate them into the lift of a PALS with changing abilities will be addressed. How to provide home automation to those in remote areas and those without internet service will be discussed. There will also be time to share with the group any useful products that fit into this category.

Attendees will be able to list three home automation protocols used in the industry.

Attendees will be able to list three products that would improve PALS independence and access to their environment.

Attendees will be able to name one product that will give PALS access to home automation without the need for internet service.
