Grid: An Overview of Vocabulary, Alternate Access, and Accessible Apps

Description:

This 60-minute course is intended to be a demonstration and discussion of a variety of AAC devices utilizing a variety of access methods with Grid software. The session involves a demonstration and discussion of the Grid software and features of several devices including the Zuvo 12, Wego Family, and Grid Pad Family speech-generating devices (SGD). This session will continue on to cover a variety of vocabulary files specific to case studies introduced.

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will demonstrate an understanding of Grid software, and the grid sets available within it.

Participants will identify 3 accessible apps available for alternate access users within Grid software.

Participants will demonstrate knowledge on basic programming, remote editing, and customizing vocabulary files.
