Cortical Vision Impairment: A Deeper Look. Impact on AAC Access and Social Skills

Our full time staff, which includes our Interveners, Executive Director, and Special Education Teacher, as well as therapy providers, including Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Assistive Technology Specialists, Teachers of the Hearing Impaired, Teachers of the Visually Impaired. We are also extending this event to other therapy professionals, parents, General Education and Special Education Teachers, Caregivers, and Consultants in the whole Atlanta region who could benefit from the knowledge offered in this workshop.

Learning Outcomes:

The attendee will gain a deeper understanding of the CVI characteristics across all Phases.

The attendees will be able to apply CVI techniques to adaptations of materials used for communication, literacy, and social opportunities.

The attendees will be able to interpret the results of The CVI Range into use of functional vision for learning and social opportunities.
