The Communication Matrix Community of Practice is an online virtual community developed to share information about the Communication Matrix and provide additional resources. This session will provide an overview of the Community of Practice, its features and use and a summary of the types of information and data that can be acquired from the Community site.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Participants will be able to describe the features and uses of the Communication Matrix Community of Practice virtual community website.
2. Participants will be able to use the Communication Matrix Community of Practice website to find ideas and concepts to help their students with complex communication needs to develop new communication skills.
3. Using the Shared Science feature of the Communication Matrix Community of Practice site, participants will be able to locate specific data regarding the communication profiles of students with a variety specific and rare conditions that affect their communication skills.
