In Part 2 of this 3-part webinar series about students with complex communication needs, we’ll explore the Communication Supports Inventory for Children and Youth (CSI-CY)as well as the Design to Learn IEP Development guide. These tools offer a evidence-based ways to assess students’ communication skills, participation in customary environments and the quality of their IEP goals.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Participants will be able to describe and use the Communication Supports Index for their students with complex communication needs.
  2. Participants will be able to use the Design to Learn IEP Development Guide to assess the quality of IEP goals developed for their students with complex communication needs.
  3. Participants will be able to list at least three common errors in the development of individualized educational program for students with complex communication needs.
