Professionals need to maintain being current on the evidence and assistive technology products as interventions for individuals with severe disabilities. Professionals need to build knowledge and skills on best practices for the selection, assessment, and implementation for a range of assistive technology products and service in a wide variety of settings.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Identify one (1) or more assistive technologies.
  2. Identify one (1) or more AT products that best meet their own needs or the needs of their students/clients.
  3. Explain why they have identified a particular AT product for their own use or the use of students/clients and the benefit/s from the product.
  4. Describe a way to implement AT for individual use or for use by a student or client.
  5. Identify the target audience for assistive technology.

CEUs

This activity is offered for up to 3.0 CEUs (30.0 hours of instruction).
