Date/Location:

February 21, 2019, Online

Description:

Core vocabulary is critical for increasing language and communication for our students with complex communication needs regardless of their age. Staff often see many examples of how to support our younger students with complex communication needs, but often they do not learn about age appropriate tools and activities to support their older students, this presentation will do just that.

Speakers:

Kelly Key, M.A.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. The participant will be able to learn to make lesson plans for older students while emphasizing core words and visuals.
  2. The participant will be able to identify quick, age appropriate activities for their older students to promote language and communication.
