Accessible Lessons – From Designing to Creation to Instruction – Making it all Work – Part 1

As most schools are moving toward some form of e-learning or blended learning this coming semester, it is more important than ever that educators understand the role that accessible lessons play in students’ success or struggles in school. Digital learning becomes more important than ever in this current climate and educators need a solid understanding of how executive functioning can be supported in a digital environment. Supports that are readily available in a classroom and direct taught in that environment often are not in a digital environment, making it necessary to begin to look at how we teach things such as file naming (putting your name on your paper) and cleaning our digital files (cleaning out our desk).

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will be able to list at least five platforms for designing lessons.

Participants will be able to discuss at least considerations for making lessons accessible.

Participants will be able to identify at least three environmental considerations for lesson design.
