Description:

This 60 minute course is intended to be a demonstration and discussion of a variety of AAC devices and access methods. The session involves a demonstration and discussion of the software and hardware features of several devices including the Wego 5A, 7A, 10A and 13A, Zuvo eyespeak, Zuvo 12, and Zuvo 16 speech generating devices (SGD).  This session will continue on to cover a variety of vocabulary files specific to case studies introduced.

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will name at least 3 speech diagnoses that may require AAC

Participants will list at least 3 features of each device

Participants will identify 3 factors in considering alternative access for an AAC user

Participant will list at least 3 alternative access methods for AAC devices
