Description:

This 60 minute course is intended to be a demonstration and discussion of a variety of AAC devices and access methods. The session involves a demonstration and discussion of the software and hardware features of several devices including the Wego 7A & 10A, Zuvo 10, Zuvo 12, and Zuvo 16 speech generating devices (SGD).  This session will continue on to cover a variety of vocabulary files specific to case studies introduced.

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will name at least 3 speech diagnoses that may require AAC

Participants will list at least 3 features of each device

Participants will identify 3 factors in considering alternative access for an AAC user

Participant will list at least 3 alternative access methods for AAC devices
