AAC Intervention: An Overview of Speech Generating Devices, Feature Matching and the Funding Process

This 60-minute course is intended to be a demonstration and discussion of a variety of AAC communication software and access methods available on the Wego and Zuvo devices. The session will continue to a group discussion of the assessment processes, i.e., feature matching, requesting a trial device, and completing a coverage check. Example case studies will be discussed. Explicit review of TTMT paperwork will be discussed.

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will identify 3 access methods available on the Wego and the Zuvo devices.

Participants will identify at least 3 of the exclusive vocabulary sets by Talk To me Technologies within TouchChat, Grid for iPad, and Grid 3.

Participants will demonstrate knowledge on how to request TTMT complete a coverage check for their client’s.

Participant will demonstrate knowledge on how to request a complimentary trial.
