AAC: An Overview of Speech Generating Devices

Description:

This 60 minute course is intended to be a demonstration and discussion of a variety of AAC devices and access methods. The session involves a demonstration and discussion of the software and hardware features of several devices including the Wego line of speech generating devices (SGD) and the Zuvo line of SGDs with eyespeak cameras. This session will cover a variety of vocabulary files and alternative access methods available.

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will identify 3 speech applications available on our Wego devices.

Participants will identify 3 TTMT proprietary page sets available on our Wego and Zuvo Speech Generating Devices.

Participant will identify which devices have eyegaze available and which do not.

Participants will learn which devices have keyguards available and which do not.

Participants will learn and identify different access methods available for the Wego and Zuvo Speech Generating Devices.
