Working Hands-Free: Using Voice Control Technology for Computer Access

This session will explore how voice control technology can support individuals with physical disabilities in accessing computers, tablets, and smartphones in the workplace. Participants will gain an overview of built-in voice control features across major platforms, as well as advanced solutions such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking. The presentation will highlight practical workplace applications, including hands-free navigation, dictation, and task completion, along with a live or simulated demonstration of key features.

Learning Outcomes:
Identify at least three voice control features available on major platforms (e.g., Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
Demonstrate how voice control technology can be used to complete at least three common work activities.
Explain the benefits and limitations of built-in voice control systems as compared to more advanced software solutions.
