Learn about the Assistive Software Knowledgebase, a new resource that the Center for Inclusive Design & Innovation (CIDI) is developing to help people make informed choices about selecting, acquiring and using specialized computer software in the workplace! Access to information is vital for people with disabilities to be effectively work within the classroom, workplace, and community of their choice. This webinar will focus on software supports for visual and non-visual access to information. We will cover mobile apps and desktop solutions that people with vision loss and print related disabilities can use to increase their access in a variety of settings

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will be able to identify three (3) different screen reading options for non-visual access to operating systems and files.

Participants will be able to identify four (4) options for screen magnification.

Participants will be able to identify which operating system – mobile or desktop – may benefit them better through built-in and third party supports.

Participants will have three (3) resources for finding funding solutions for acquiring assistive technology.
