Unlocking the iPad Using 10 Apps: An in-depth exploration

This webinar will explore 10 apps for the iPad that will unlock the potential of the iPad for assisting students in reading and writing while assisting the teacher in making a paperless classroom. Real life applications for these apps will be shared as well as how to manage the devices. Apps covered are applicable to any population. Participants will see how students can work through the writing process as well as read any material they need on an iPad. They will also learn how to use OCR apps that allow students to take a picture of text and have it read to them or translated into their native language.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Participants will be able to describe at least 2 different apps used for the writing process.
  2. Participants will be able to identify and describe how to make a classroom paperless.
  3. Participants will be able to identify what file formats can be read on the iPad as well as the apps that will read the material.
