On-Screen Keyboards for Tablets & Chromebooks- Customizing Your Screen

Description:
Access needs for using a tablet or Chromebook vary from student to student. Alternative keyboards provide students with the ability to have color coded keyboards, drag a finger from key to key to type instead of tapping, use voice recognition if they are unable to physically type, type mathematical functions into math worksheets, or even enlarged keys for students with visual impairments. This session will explore all the alternative keyboards available and accessibility issues that they address.

- Participants will be able to identify how to download and activate an alternative on-screen keyboard for Android platform.
- Participants will learn how to download and Install an on-screen keyboard for iPad.
