New Options in Switch Control with iOS 9 for iPad

Students with physical disabilities often need switch access to utilize an iPad. With the latest IOS for iPad – IOS 9 – there have been many additions and changes to what switch access can now do, as well as new programming and customization options. This session will cover these new changes, and demonstrate examples on how they might be used.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Identify test switch control options on the iPad by setting the entire iPad screen to be a switch.
  2. Utilize the Recipes option in Switch Control to automatically reprogram switch settings for page turning in iBooks when opening a book.
  3. List two new features in Switch Control in IOS 9.
