Making Assistive Technology Solutions in Minutes

Description:

Professionals working with people with disabilities need to know what type of assistive technology is available to assist people in improving their ability to work, live independently, or improve their quality of life.

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will be able to identify and describe at least ten different assistive technology solutions that can be made in 5 minutes or less using everyday tools and materials. 

Participants will be able to identify at least five different specialty tapes for rapid device creations.  

Participants will be able to identify at least five different plastics for rapid device creations.  

Participants will be able to identify at least five tools for cutting plastics. 

Participants will be able to identify at least three different resources for making, mounting, and modifying assistive technology solutions in minutes.
