Is AI Helping or Hindering? Discover Genio’s Approach to Better Student Learning
Date/Location:
On Demand
Description:
We are living in an era where AI can summarize a two-hour lecture in two seconds. While this efficiency feels like magic, it creates a potential trap for students known as the “Efficiency Paradox.” When we remove all effort from the learning process, we inadvertently remove the learning itself. We will explore why the brain requires cognitive challenge, a concept called Productive Friction, to turn information into deep knowledge. Rather than using AI to bypass the struggle of learning, we will demonstrate how educators and institutions can use Genio Notes and Genio Present to direct student effort where it matters most: critical thinking, reflection, and active engagement.
