Google’s Hidden Gems for Diverse Learners and Beyond

Date/Location:

September 14, 2023

Description:

Most people in education know by now that Google is more than just a search tool, there are well over 250 different Google tools and services available to the average person. In education we tend to focus on the tools that are built into the “Google Workspace for Education”. This workspace consists of an interactive tool set of the most popular tools in the education space including Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides and many more. Many of these tools have features that would be helpful in supporting diverse learners however these tools are not always simple to find, often they are like buried treasure and all you need is a map to find them. These treasured “gems” can help level the playing field for our diverse learners. Encouraging diverse learners to use the same tool set as their neurotypical peers helps teachers and therapists get more student buy-in for utilizing the tools built in features.
