Embrace the Grey – School Based Therapy is not all Black and White

Date/Location:

January 31, 2024: Winterville, GA

Description:

When asked to assess a student for school based physical and occupational therapy, it is not only about a gross motor or fine motor standardized test.  There are other areas of a student’s day at school and academic load that often require school based physical and occupational therapists to think outside of the box and look holistically at the child, with each child being different and with different needs.  Today’s speakers will look at 2 such areas of a student’s needs that could require support from occupational or physical therapists in ways that are outside the typical perception of “school based therapy”.   This program is geared to current practicing Occupational and Physical Therapists in the K-12 school setting in the state of Georgia.

Debbie Brineman, Ed. S.; ATP

Jason Satler M.A. COMS
