Professional caregivers are often at an increased risk for burnout, especially when working with vulnerable populations. Learning to maintain healthy boundaries not only ensures safe, ethical, practice but also helps caregivers avoid feelings of compassion fatigue and job dissatisfaction. Healthy boundaries set the foundation of a strong therapeutic relationship between caregiver and client and empower both parties to focus on satisfactory service outcomes.
