Assistive Technology to Improve Health Literacy

The public health response to COVID-19 revealed significant issues with health literacy among older adults. Communication was often a barrier for proper responses to quarantine and masking, registering for vaccines, and testing options.

Tools for Life and the Center for Inclusive Design and Innovation not only have experience in working with leading public health organizations to improve their communications but have also conducted original research to identify barriers and opportunities to improve health literacy.

This webinar will provide appropriate response options to achieve the most successful public health education so that everyday access is improved, as well as preparing for future health care response to major infectious outbreaks, such as COVID-19.
