| In the field of special education, practitioners are consistently short on time due to the demanding nature of personalizing instruction. The time consuming tasks of creating social stories, visual schedules, and differentiated curricula can suck the joy out of providing instruction. While personalization is a proven strategy to enhance student engagement and connection, the manual creation of these materials can take hours. This webinar explores how Artificial Intelligence (AI) serves as an electric bike for educators—a tool that multiplies human effort and keeps the teacher in control while significantly reducing the time burden of material preparation. Beyond mere tool identification, this session will empower participants to evaluate which AI tools best serve their specific instructional contexts. Attendees will learn to apply a focused evaluation framework based on three critical questions: What specific task does the student need to complete (e.g., learning a new concept versus navigating a transition)? What barriers is the student currently facing? What are the student’s unique interests and preferences? |
