Adapting and Creating Classroom Content Using Free Open Educational Resources (OER)

Description:

Educational content is an extremely large part of school budgets. OER and copyright free materials can help supplement and reduce costs, provide educators with free resources for differentiating classroom learning activities and resources students can freely use for projects. Combined with free tools for accessibility and online applications for uploading and posting for student access resources can also be freely distributed, accessible from any internet enabled device.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Participants will be able to Identify three websites that provide free OER content for classroom adaptation and use.
  2. Participants will be able to Identify two free websites that can be used for posting classroom learning materials accessible from many internet enabled devices.
  3. Participants will learn 3 apps that can incorporate copyright free images and text to created adapted materials.
