AAC Simplified: An Overview Speech Generating Devices

Description:

This 60 minute course is intended to be a demonstration and discussion of a variety of AAC devices and access methods. The session involves a demonstration and discussion of the software and hardware features of several devices including the Wego 7A, 10A, 13A, Zuvo 10, and Zuvo 12 speech generating devices (SGD).  This session will continue on to cover a variety of vocabulary files and AAC implementation strategies.

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will demonstrate an understanding on use of at least 3 devices by hardware.

Participants will identify 3 unique features of each device.

Participants will identify 3 basic methods of AAC implementation

Participants will demonstrate knowledge on basic programming, customizing and vocabulary files of at least 3 devices.
